Julie Hoaas - Online Portfolio

Was a photography assignment in high school, second year I believe. The teacher asked us to take photos of what we thought of when we heard the word “materialism”. After a heavy brainstorming session, I came up with the theme of “the four elements, wind, water, fire and earth”, which in my opinion is the ultimate materialism.

Just stumbled upon something I made back in the day, in 2005 to be more specific. It is a website design for a friend of mine for her mother’s cats and kittens web page. She sells Exotic and Himalayan kittens online.

I am considering re-designing the whole thing for her for free now, because the design does not match today’s marked and web trends at ALL. Please remember that it was designed in 2005. It’s a couple of years ago, and my skills as a web designer has improved a LOT since then. Really. I now study Interaction Design at NITH (bachelor’s degree) so I’ve learnt a LOT of new techniques and tricks regarding designing for the web!

It was fun seeing an old web relic of mine, and thought I would share for you guys!
